Time for questions:

1) What about non-human characters with an eligible gender presentation? GLaDOS, Cortana, and EDI would be good examples of what I mean (though they probably would be ineligible due to numbers).

2) What about characters whose gender is dependent on the player character? Does this fall under the genderswap AU/Rule 63 thing? The character I have in mind is the clone of Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, and his/her gender is determined by the gender of the player character, which is up to the player. Some determinant characters do have a canon gender (Darth Revan comes to mind), but Shepard is not one of them. Because Shepard does not have a canon gender, what is the eligibility of his/her clone?

3) Not a question, but a plug for Eon/The Two Pearls of Wisdom by Alison Goodman. I desperately want to nominate this, but I don't think anyone else would have read this.

I believe that neither humanity nor biology are required.

The Machine from Person of Interest was specifically listed as an example of an eligible character. The Machine is an AI (non-human).

1). Non-human characters that fall within our gender guidelines are welcome.

2). The gender variants of playable characters from RPGs are eligible, as long as they meet other requirements for rarity in representation. Since they make up a version of canon, I would consider it more along alternate universe than Rule 63.

1) Ah,of course. I don't know why I didn't catch that from the examples. Thank you.

2) I think I understand. However, just so there is zero confusion, female clone!Shep is an eligible submission, yes?

3) I've just gotten into Fables, and I adore their Cinderella. I especially adore that line. :)

2). Yes, she is. :)

3). That quote is sadly my fandom state at all times these days. ;) But yes, Cinderella is wonderful.
