Forget it. I can't stand the hassle. There's no place for anyone below the upper-middle-classes in Forest fandom, apparently.

No: it's calculated to make sure you know what a can of worms nominating Doris is. Class: the fandom -ism which dare not speak its name.

They'll send people round to firebomb your home and shoot your Great Dane, you know. They can.

Better you than me with Axiothea; she strikes me as a mouth-piece for some of the author's more tedious political views. When she gets away from that she's a genuinely engaging character (I like her telling Niko "I could see it was getting unkind not to mention it") but I'd not like to write fic about her, in case it turned into Hit The Character With The Clue-Bat Aimed at the Author.

I'm not sure I will end up offering to write her myself (my historical knowledge isn't, I think, up to writing Ancients fic), but I had a slot free and since a few people seemed interested I'd see what came of it.
