Nicole Shea! Oh, wow, if my books weren't in storage on the OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY, I would totally sign up for those. But I haven't read them since they came out.

Yay! Someone else who's heard of them!

Hotshot space pilots, first contact with aliens, multiple awesome female characters, canonical f/f pairing involving the main character, mysteries and politics and action adventure -- There's SO MUCH to love in these books!

Back then I was a serious X-addict, and that translated in reading everything tangentially related. (See icon. Oh, Claremont.)

Look what I found! The Kindle version of First Flight. (Just the first book, alas.) I might need to pick it up, now that you've reminded me of the series. :)

ETA: Well, because I have no self-control, I bought and reread the first book. Oh, Claremont. Desperately needed an editor. Still a lot of fun, though. Wish I had the other two at hand.

Defiance love! And since you've got an extra slot~ man there's so many I adore but I've got it pretty bad for Irisa. :D I checked her tag on AO3 and got like 46 works so I don't think she's over. I mean if you wanted to!

Sure! I couldn't decide between her and Stahma, so I hoped someone else would come along and have a preference.

There are so many amazing women in that show! I kind of want to nominate Doc Yewll, too. It's so hard to narrow it down!
